NEW HORIZON EP (Forthcoming)
Brainstormer returns to Omni Music with New Horizon, a stunning new EP that has the honour of being the label's landmark 500th release. Marking such a significant milestone in Omni Music's history, New Horizon showcases some of Brainstormer's finest work for the label to date, blending rich atmospheres, intricate musicality and beautifully crafted drum & bass. Chosen to commemorate this major achievement, the EP stands as a fitting celebration of Omni Music's journey to 500 releases and is set for release on 23rd August.

The unstoppable Brainstormer is back with more crisp atmospheric beats. He starts this new adventure with the title track 'Summer of Love' an infectious journey through joyful pads and euphoric chords, capturing the bygone days of the early 90's but with his unique modern twist. On the same theme is 'Golden Era' another summery explosion of oldskool breaks, and jubilant piano and keys. The summer feeling doesn't end there as 'Sundrenched' envelopes the listener with euphoric pads and synths as chopped breakbeats whisper in visions of deep blue skies and endless daylight hours. This fantastic new EP ends on 'The Journey' which is perfect description of the whole EP, but this final track takes things further as the tempo drops and ever-flowing arpeggios build over a soft bed of pads, beats and delightful strings. This is another fine example of a true talent that gets better with every release.

Fragments keeps the uplifting feelings as chopped breakbeats and melodics swirl around a rolling amen that propels the track deeper into musical bliss. The downtempo Echoes finishes this excellent new EP with oldskool breaks and dub interspersed with rapturous synths, a perfect end to this new collage of sounds.

Originally released as Brainstormer's contribution to the final Hardcore Projektz vinyl compilation, HPZ20, Southey Woods Crew now receives its own standalone digital release through LEK Productions. Inspired by the artist's first official release, the 1992 Southey Woods EP on Whitehouse Records, the title track captures the spirit of classic oldskool hardcore breaks while benefiting from a modern master. Accompanying it is the exclusive track Headstrong 'Lettin It Roll', making this two-track release both a tribute to Brainstormer's early roots and a celebration of the sound that started it all.
