The magnificent Brainstormer returns to Omni Music with 5 more deep breakbeat cuts. The title track starts the EP with wistful piano and chopped breaks that spring to life with energetic bass and floating strings. Voyager continues with the tight break work as sprinkles of chords and synths gradually build to a momentous breakdown. Grafix changes the mood with a rolling beat as oldskool bass faces off with chord stabs and uplifting strings and piano. Fragments keeps the uplifting feelings as chopped breakbeats and melodics swirl around a rolling amen that propels the track deeper into musical bliss. The downtempo Echoes finishes this excellent new EP with oldskool breaks and dub interspersed with rapturous synths, a perfect end to this new collage of sounds.
